How we handle a part number
Categories exist to help you browse. In practice most requirements arrive as a string of characters on a rating plate, and the work starts there.
- Identify. The part number is resolved to a manufacturer, a range and a revision. Suffixes matter — they usually carry coil voltage, connection type, enclosure material or certification.
- Search. Current production goes to the manufacturer or an authorised channel. Discontinued or allocated items go wider: remaining distributor stock, surplus and secondary specialists, and repair or refurbishment routes.
- Verify. What comes back is checked against the manufacturer’s documentation before it is quoted — ratings, certification and revision level, not just the part number matching.
- Quote. Price, lead time, condition and available documentation, stated plainly. Where we are offering an equivalent rather than the original, we say what differs and leave the decision with you.
What we do not do
We do not hold stock, and we do not pretend to. We are a sourcing company: the value is in finding a part that is difficult to find, checking it properly, and being straight about its condition and provenance. If a component is available off the shelf from a broadline distributor at a better price, that is usually where you should buy it.
