1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of nexusindustrialsupply.co.uk. The website is operated by Nexus Industrial Supply Limited, a company registered in England and Wales, with its registered office at Radley House, Richardshaw Road, Leeds, LS28 6LE.

By using this website you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

These terms cover use of the website only. They are not our terms of sale. Where we supply goods, the supply is governed by the terms described in section 8.

This is a business-to-business website, intended for people acting in the course of a business. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

2. Changes to these terms

We may amend these terms from time to time. The version that applies is the one published on this page at the time you use the site, and the date it was last updated is shown at the top. Where a change is significant we will draw attention to it on the website. Please check this page when you return.

3. Using this website

You may view, download and print pages from this website for your own internal business purposes — evaluating us as a supplier, preparing an enquiry, or keeping a record of a requirement you have sent us. Any other use requires our written permission.

If you copy any part of the site, you must not remove or alter any copyright, trade mark or other proprietary notice.

There are no user accounts on this website. You do not need to register, and we do not ask you to create a password.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use this website:

  • For any unlawful or fraudulent purpose, or in a way that breaches any applicable law or regulation.
  • To submit information you know to be false, or to impersonate another person or organisation.
  • To harvest, scrape or systematically extract content, contact details or product data, whether manually or by automated means, without our written consent.
  • To place an unreasonable load on the site, or to interfere with its operation or availability.
  • To introduce viruses, trojans, worms or any other malicious or technologically harmful material.
  • To attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, the server it is hosted on, or any connected system, including by probing, scanning or vulnerability testing without our prior written consent.
  • To use our forms to send unsolicited marketing, bulk messages or anything unrelated to a genuine enquiry.
  • To reproduce or reuse our content to build a competing database, catalogue or service.
  • To suggest an association with, or approval by, Nexus that does not exist.

We may suspend or block access to the website where we reasonably believe these terms have been breached, and we may report the matter to law enforcement authorities and give them your identity where we are required or entitled to do so.

5. Intellectual property

We own or are licensed to use the intellectual property rights in this website and in the material published on it, including its text, structure, layout, graphics, photographs and the Nexus Industrial Supply name and logo. Those rights are protected by copyright, trade mark and other laws. Except as set out in section 3, all rights are reserved.

Manufacturer and brand names, part numbers, logos and product images that appear on this site belong to their respective owners. They are used to identify and describe the components we source. Their appearance here does not mean that Nexus is an authorised distributor of, or endorsed by, any manufacturer, unless we have confirmed that to you in writing.

Nothing on this website grants you any licence to use any trade mark, whether ours or a third party’s.

6. Information on this website

We take care over the content of this website, but it is published for general information. Specifications, technical descriptions, images and ratings are indicative, are frequently derived from manufacturer data, and may be superseded without notice.

Nothing on this website is technical, engineering, safety, regulatory or legal advice, and it is not a substitute for the manufacturer’s own documentation. You remain responsible for satisfying yourself that a component is suitable for your application — particularly in hazardous areas, safety-related systems, and any application where certification or approval is required.

We do not warrant that the website will be accurate, complete, current or free from error, and to the extent permitted by law we exclude any such warranty.

7. Product information and availability

The product categories, brands and sector pages on this website describe the kinds of components we source and supply. They are not a statement that any particular item is held in stock or available for immediate despatch.

We are an independent sourcing company rather than an authorised distributor. Availability, lead time, country of origin, packaging, revision level, certification and price are confirmed at quotation stage and can change between quotation and order.

Product images are illustrative. They may not show the exact part, revision or configuration that would be supplied against a particular requirement.

Where we refer to obsolete, legacy or hard-to-find components, what can be sourced depends on the market at the time of the enquiry. Nothing on the site should be read as a guarantee that a discontinued item can be obtained.

8. Enquiries, quotations and orders

Submitting the contact form or the Request a Quote form is a request for information. It does not create a contract, and it does not oblige us to quote or to supply.

Unless it expressly says otherwise, a quotation we issue is an invitation to treat rather than an offer capable of acceptance. Each quotation is valid for the period stated on it and remains subject to availability and to confirmation at the time an order is placed. Prices exclude VAT, delivery, duties and any applicable charges unless stated.

An order is accepted only when we confirm it in writing. From that point the supply is governed by our Terms & Conditions of Sale, or by other written terms agreed between us — not by these website terms. If there is any conflict between the two in relation to a supply of goods, the sale terms prevail.

We rely on the part numbers, specifications, quantities and delivery details you give us. Please make sure they are accurate and complete. We are not responsible for supplying against an incorrect or incomplete specification provided to us.

Please send only the technical information the enquiry requires. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle documents and any personal data they contain.

9. Export control and sanctions

Components of the kind we supply may be subject to UK, EU, US or other export control, dual-use and sanctions rules. You must not use this website, or any quotation or supply obtained through it, in a way that would breach those rules.

You must tell us if goods are intended for a restricted end use, end user or destination, or for any military, nuclear or other controlled application. We may decline any enquiry or order on compliance grounds, and we are not obliged to give reasons.

10. Links to other websites

Where we link to manufacturer, distributor or standards organisation websites, we do so for convenience. Those sites are outside our control. A link does not imply endorsement, and we accept no responsibility for their content, accuracy, availability or the way they handle your data.

You may link to our home page for fair business purposes, provided you do so in a way that is not misleading and does not damage our reputation. You must not frame our site within another, present it as your own, or suggest an association or approval that does not exist. We may withdraw permission to link at any time.

11. Availability and security

The website is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access, and we may suspend, withdraw, restrict or change all or part of the site for business or operational reasons, without notice.

We take reasonable steps to keep the site secure, but no website or internet connection is completely secure. You are responsible for configuring your own IT and platform to access the site and for using your own virus protection.

Deliberately introducing malicious material or attempting to gain unauthorised access to the site or its infrastructure may be a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990. We will report any such breach to the relevant authorities and co-operate with them, including by disclosing your identity.

12. Our liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Subject to that, and because this website is provided free of charge for general information:

  • We exclude all conditions, warranties and other terms implied by statute or common law to the fullest extent permitted.
  • We are not liable for loss of profits, sales, business or revenue, business interruption, loss of anticipated savings, loss of business opportunity, goodwill or reputation, loss or corruption of data, or any indirect or consequential loss, arising from your use of this website or reliance on its content.
  • Our total aggregate liability in connection with your use of this website, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise, is limited to £100.

This section concerns the website. Our liability for goods we supply is dealt with in our Terms & Conditions of Sale, and is not limited by this section.

If you are a consumer using this website for personal purposes, these exclusions and limits do not affect your statutory rights.

13. Your responsibility to us

If you use this website in breach of these terms, you agree to reimburse us for the reasonable losses, costs and expenses we suffer as a result, including any claim brought against us by a third party arising from that breach.

14. Privacy and cookies

Our Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect through this website and how we use it. Our Cookie Policy explains what is stored on your device and how to control it. By using the site you acknowledge that we process personal data as described in those policies.

15. General

  • Severability — if any provision of these terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in force.
  • No waiver — if we delay in enforcing any part of these terms, that is not a waiver of our rights.
  • Assignment — we may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation. You may not transfer yours without our written consent.
  • Entire agreement — these terms are the entire agreement between us in relation to your use of this website.
  • Third party rights — a person who is not a party to these terms has no right to enforce them under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.

16. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms, their subject matter and their formation are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them.

If you are a consumer resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom in which you live.
